Alpha Course

Alpha is for those who are keen to discuss life's big questions. It's also a great way to explore the Christian faith in a friendly and relaxed setting. If you would like to join, please sign-up here.

Q. How long is the Alpha course?

A. Alpha runs over eleven evenings, one each week, and one Saturday together. Alpha will be running at Rhiwbina Baptist Church every Monday evening from 27 April to the 13 July 2026. You are welcome to come to the first one with no obligation to continue the whole course.

Q. How much does it cost?

A. It's free and everyone is welcome.

Q. What should I expect from an Alpha session?

A. Each evening starts at 7.30pm with a light meal around a table with other interested people, in a warm and welcoming environment. After the food we watch a 25-minute film together. Each episode is designed to spark conversation and prompt questions.

You'll then have an opportunity to share your thoughts in a small group setting and discuss any questions you may have with other group members.

Each session will finish by 9.30pm.

Q. I'm not a Christian. Will I be under pressure to believe?

A. Definitely not! Alpha is a safe space for you to share your own opinions. Or to remain quiet and just listen if you prefer. There is no pressure on anyone and no follow-up.
